You Are Invited To My Watermelon Ball

Hehehehe, the only ball there is, is this huge watermelon before me and which i am about to devour! You're cordially invited!

So my choppy choppy self in my choppy choppy mode stumbled on the fastest way to chop (I mean eat) my watermelon (some of the advantages of being a choppy choppy...hehehhehee...no time to waste). This method is best for me because I like to eat my watermelon as soon as I cut through it, that is chop-as-you-go.

Waiting till it's all cut up in small cubes is a loooong thing if you are a choppy choppy like me. Since the fruit has more seedless portions, I cut through in a way that lets me access these portions fastest and I eat as I cut. It is easier to get a huge seedless chunk when cut horizontally than vertically. So here's below...may not be best for you but if you are not serving visitors and just want to enjoy your evening with a big watermelon ball, then I suggest chop-as-you-go.

Place like this and cut through
Cut a slice...

Chop out the middle and...
Eat!

yum yum

Now you have enjoyed a huge chunk in no time, your next chop-as-you-go step is to cut in between the areas with seeds....and again eat!
Like this....enjoy eating all the seedless areas....chop dey go!

When you are done with all the seedless portions, then you can  go through the pains of taking out the seeds of the left over area. But by now, you have enjoyed most of the watermelon.

...and yea, now you can BURRRP! who's watching anyway?? lol

To add to my big watermelon ball experience yesterday evening, I looked up what culinary designs there may be for a watermelon and I found quite a number like these...

Impressive. But more interesting for me was a room design inspired by a watermelon...I tell you, you can draw useful inspiration from many natural things around you. So here....find the semblances and let me know.
This room is absolutely _________ (you fill in the blank)! See you next time!

The Hustle

Aha, I know my Eko brothers and sisters know exactly what I mean by this. Every breath in Lagos is a hustle, yes o, every breath. If it isn't snatched from you as you attempt hopping on a moving bus, I don't have to tell you why you should give thanks.

I remember our family friend's little son who thought one of the bus conductors was a monkey...lol...funny, a bit sad but true. What can I say...we gas ta hustle and an old wise Book of Life does say, "let him not eat who does not work". But I believe in honest hard work, and yes the dignity of it.

So perhaps, I am not skilled at turning hobby into business but...I will learn, try, and try harder because, only then is my daily bread guaranteed...acknowledging Providence in all things.

Out to begin my day's hustle people! Wish you the best of yours!

“A good designer achieves sophistication through the mastery
of subtlety and nuance. A great designer knows when and
how to employ a bold move to create poetry and drama.”

Aesthetic Functionality

...I have always been a big fan of spaces that tastefully merge beauty and functionality. I really do not like any object occupying so much space and isn't of much use. Its aesthetic value either be so high for it to earn its accommodation or else I'd gladly throw it out!
Here are some stunning pictures that perfectly capture functionality and beauty as Louis Sullivan's famous slogan, "form follows function"...

Notice how the bedside tables are fused into the bed's elegant design, all in a single piece...

...relishing the warmth of the sun whilst being protected from its damaging effects...these luxurious outdoor pieces come with artistically designed canopies...bravo!

This one is my favorite! Pure genius and creative excellence!! I'd leave you to make the rest of my unsaid comments.....fantastic!
